Welcome! I am looking forward to supporting you on your healing journey. To ensure you feel fully prepared for our upcoming session in Bournemouth and Poole, I want to share a little bit about how I practice Reiki healing and universal energy healing.
Why We Use a Seated Position
While many people associate energy healing with lying down on a massage table, my practice of Reiki healing and universal energy healing traditionally utilizes a seated position. Clients remain fully clothed and comfortably seated in a supportive chair throughout the treatment.
There are several wonderful benefits to receiving healing while sitting up:
Active Alignment: Sitting allows for a natural vertical alignment of the spine, which many find helpful for the flow of energy through the primary chakras.
Ease of Breath: A seated posture can make it easier to breathe deeply and remain present during the session.
Accessibility: This position is often more comfortable for those with certain physical limitations, back pain, or those who simply feel more secure and grounded while upright.
Integration: Many clients find it easier to transition back into their day after a seated session, as the body remains in an 'active-rest' state.
What to Expect
During the session, I will place my hands either lightly on or just above specific areas of the head, shoulders, and back. You don’t need to 'do' anything—simply close your eyes, relax, and allow the energy to work.
Note: Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to sit with ease. You are welcome to bring a small cushion or sweater if you feel you might need extra support or warmth.
After Your Session
Energy work can be deeply relaxing and occasionally brings up emotions or physical sensations as your system rebalances.
I recommend drinking plenty of water and giving yourself a few moments of quiet reflection after we finish.
